How we review ads
Every ad Admaker Lab runs is reviewed before it goes live — against Meta's Advertising Standards and against our own review standard, which covers advertising law: truthful claims, fair-housing language, financing terms, licensed trades, and the rights to every image.
Ads run from Admaker Lab's own ad accounts, and we identify the business behind every ad. You never need a Meta account, a Page, or a profile.
An ad we can't stand behind doesn't run, and you get a full refund. When an ad needs a change, we show you the fixed version beside yours — take it, or tell us what's missing.
What Meta requires
Facebook and Instagram are Meta's platforms, and Meta reviews every ad against its Advertising Standards — the images, the words, the page the ad links to, and the audience it's aimed at. Most reviews finish within a day, and Meta can look again at any time. We apply the same standards before Meta ever sees the ad, so yours arrives ready.
Meta doesn't allow
Discrimination and hate speech · illegal products and services · scams and misleading claims · counterfeit goods and other people's trademarks · adult content · violence, harassment, and shocking imagery · tobacco, drugs, and unsafe supplements · ads that call out personal traits ("Are you overweight?") · before-and-after images that promise a result · ads that don't match the page they link to.
Meta allows only with extra steps
Alcohol, dating, gambling, cryptocurrency, financial products, health and wellness products, addiction treatment, and weapons-related products need Meta's authorization or certification, age limits, or both. At launch, Admaker Lab runs alcohol ads only for licensed bars, restaurants, and retailers, and doesn't run the rest. As our Meta authorizations grow, so will the list.
Meta's Special Ad Categories
Ads about housing (sales, rentals, mortgages), employment, financial products and services (credit, banking, insurance, investing), and social issues, elections, or politics get a smaller set of audience controls, by Meta's rules and to keep ads from excluding people unfairly:
- Audience is 18 and up, all genders — no narrowing by age or gender.
- Location by city, state, or region — no ZIP codes, and no excluding a neighborhood.
- No targeting by interests or behaviors, and no lookalike audiences.
Political and social-issue ads also require the advertiser's identity to be confirmed and a "paid for by" line on the ad. Admaker Lab doesn't run political or issue ads.
Who can see your ad, and what they see
Every Meta ad is public in Meta's Ad Library while it runs, and every ad we place carries Admaker Lab's small mark in one corner. People who see the ad can tap "Why am I seeing this ad?" and learn what audience choices put it in front of them.
This is a plain-English summary of Meta's rules as we apply them. Meta's own pages are the authority; when they change, we change with them.
What we require on top
Meta's rules are Meta's. Advertising law is everyone's, and because Admaker Lab is the advertiser on record for your ad, we check for it too. The short version of our review standard:
- Every claim is true and you can back it up. "Best," "#1," "guaranteed," and health claims get rewritten to what you can show is so. A "sale" price needs a real regular price behind it; a "free" offer says what it's tied to.
- Testimonials are from real customers, unpaid unless the ad says so, and typical of what buyers get.
- Housing ads describe the property, not the person. Rooms, views, price, and location — never who should live there. Hawaii real-estate licensees show their brokerage name and license status in the ad.
- Job ads describe the work, not the worker.
- Financing terms carry the disclosures the law requires. A monthly payment, a down payment, or a rate in the ad means the down payment, repayment terms, and annual percentage rate go in too.
- Licensed trades show their license. Hawaii contractors include their license number in every ad — that's state law, and we verify it.
- The images are yours. You own them or hold a license, and anyone pictured agreed to appear in an ad. No celebrities, no other companies' logos as if they endorsed you.
- Still images and slideshows. That's what we place today, because that's what we can inspect completely enough to stand behind.
What we don't run at launch
Supplements and weight loss · lending, credit repair, crypto, and insurance · cannabis, CBD, vape, and tobacco · firearms · gambling · adult products and services · multi-level marketing · political and issue ads · anything aimed at children · counterfeit or "inspired by" goods. Declined means a full refund, every time.
What the mark means
An Admaker Lab reviewer looked at this ad before it ran and applied Admaker Lab's review standard: the ad follows Meta's Advertising Standards and Admaker Lab's own advertising-law review. We review the ad; we do not audit the business behind it.
The mark is small, sits in a corner of the ad, and isn't a link. An optional listing number beside it leads to a verification page that shows the ad is real and was reviewed.
Your part
We check the ad. You know your business. When you place an ad with us, you're telling us that:
- What the ad says about your business, product, or offer is true, and you can show it if asked.
- You own the images and words you give us, or have permission to use them, and anyone pictured agreed to be in an ad.
- You hold every license your trade requires, and the license number you give us is current.
- If something in the ad turns out not to be true, that's on you, not on us — the Terms of Service say this formally.
Money and refunds
- Your budget is a ceiling, never a target. What isn't spent is refunded.
- Your receipt shows what Meta charged for your ad separately from what Admaker Lab charged. Two lines, no blending.
- An ad we decline is refunded in full, automatically.
- Changing an image or headline mid-flight is a flat swap fee; your remaining budget rides along.
